Time to make your University choices with Open Week. From Monday 22 Friday to 26 March, the student orientation week will be held online to present the 61 graduate degree programmes available across the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore’s five campuses (Milan, Brescia, Piacenza, Cremona and Rome)

In recent weeks, the highly successful ‘Unicatt Orienta. What do you know about the University?’ initiative, aimed at high school students, registered 60,000 views and engaged with about 160,000 people. The University now presents “Play the Future, Open Week” to help students select the right graduate degree programme. An entire week on Webex to showcase the academic programmes of 11 Faculties and all the upcoming initiatives for the 2021/2022 a.y.

It will be inaugurated on Monday 22 March with Linguistic Sciences and Foreign Literatures (09.30) and Economics (14.00). On Tuesday 23 the faculties of Medicine and Surgery (09.30) and Arts and Philosophy (14.30) will present their programmes followed, on Wednesday 24, by the Faculties of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences (09.30), Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences (14.30) and Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences (14.30). On Thursday 25 Economics and Law (09.00) will be joined by Political and Social Sciences (14.30) and on Friday 26, the week will conclude with presentations from Psychology (09.30) and Education (14.30).

This year the Cremona campus will offer two new graduate degree programmes: Innovation and Digital Entrepreneurship, in the Faculty of Economics and Law, and Livestock and Agrogreen Innovation (in English) in the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences. At the Piacenza site, a new Sustainable Viticulture and Enology module (in English) as part of the graduate programme in Sustainable and Precision Agriculture.

‘Play the Future, Open Week’ presents the graduate degrees alongside informative round tables to address careers and professional opportunities. Three in-depth debates will be livestreamed on @Unicatt and @CattolicaNews social media channels (Instagram | YouTube | Facebook | Linkedin | Twitter). On Monday 22 March, at 18.30, the inaugural round table will be chaired by the Deputy Rector Antonella Sciarrone Alibrandi co-hosted with Michele Faldi, Director of Academic Programmes, Promotion, Advice And Tutoring. On Tuesday 23, again at 18.30, a debate on the professions of the future promoted by the Università Cattolica Alumni Association. Lastly, on Wednesday 24 (18:30), Massimo Castagnaro, lecturer at the University of Padua and former board member of the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (Anvur), Emmanuele Massagli, president of Adapt and Aiwa (Italian Employee Welfare Providers Association), and Ivana Pais, professor at Università Cattolica, will participate in the “The University in the time of Covid. Talent educator or dream factory?” webinar reflecting on the strategic role that the university plays in educating young talent and their entry into a rapidly changing workplace.

On a more practical note, there will be an up-close perspective of university life with live discussions on university fees and relevant topics such as ‘How much does it cost to study at Università Cattolica?’ (Monday 22, 16.00; Thursday 25, 10.00), plus, daily streams on admission procedures - held at the end of each Faculty presentation (12.00 and 17.00) - and a focus on student services, live on @Instagram daily from 18.00 to 18.30.

Furthermore, starting from March 10 admission procedures for the next academic year will be online on www.unicatt.it, giving prospective students the chance to verify their curricular requirements.

Don’t miss out on the Open Week Unicatt: the official hashtags are #eCatt, #SemprepiùUnicatt#OpenWeekUnicatt.
