On Thursday 13 March, starting at 11 a.m., the Piacenza and Cremona campus of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore will inaugurate the 2024/25 academic year with a lecture by the Ambassador of South Africa to the FAO and Chair of the CFS (Committee on World Food Security) Nosipho Nausca-Jean Jezile.
The ceremony will be preceded, at 9.30 am, by the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Mons. Adriano Cevolotto, Bishop of the Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio.
At 11 a.m., in the Gian Carlo Mazzocchi Auditorium on the Piacenza campus, the Dies Academicus will begin with the inaugural speech by the Rector of Università Cattolica, Professor Elena Beccalli, followed by greetings from the Mayor of Piacenza, Katia Tarasconi, and the CEO of E.P.I.S., Monica Patelli.
This will be followed by the inaugural address of Nosipho Nausca-Jean Jezile, South African Ambassador to the FAO and Chair of the CFS (Committee on World Food Security). The Dies Academicus will conclude with a talk by research doctorate student Gabriele Bellotti.
