On Friday 17 January 2025, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore will formally open the 2024-2025 academic year.
The ceremony will start at 9.15 a.m. with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Archbishop of Milan Monsignor Mario Delpini in the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio.
At 11.00 a.m. in the University Aula Magna, Rector Elena Beccalli will deliver the opening speech.
This will be followed by Monsignor Mario Delpini’s formal greeting in his capacity as President of the Istituto Toniolo for Higher Studies.
The morning programme will then continue with addresses by Leymah Gbowee, 2011 Nobel Peace Prize winner, and Ernest Aryeetey, former Secretary General of the African Research Universities Alliance.
